Bank of America will once again serve as the national sponsor and host for the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT)’s annual scholarship - Award for Aspirations in Computing. Last year, Bank of America offered 18 paid summer internships to some of the National winners.
Final date to apply – November 2, 2014 at 11:59 PM ET.
As a reminder, each qualified National Award for Aspirations in Computing winner receives:
- $500 in cash
- a laptop computer
- a trip to attend the Bank of America Technology Showcase and Awards Ceremony, held in Charlotte, North Carolina in March 2015
- an engraved award for both the student and the student’s school
- a possible paid summer-internship with Bank of America
- an engraved award for both the student and the student’s school (supplied by NCWIT)
- various other prizes at the discretion of the local affiliate co-hosts – this could include gift bags containing gift cards, merchandise with visible sponsorship logos, etc.
- Girls, grades 9-12
- Citizens of the United States of America
- Applicants with a demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in IT/Computing and demonstrated leadership ability
- Past applicants, including National and local Affiliate runners-up and local Affiliate winners
