According to a policy brief from the Florida College Access
Network “…high school graduates last year who failed to complete the FAFSA
cumulatively missed out on over $100 million in Pell Grants, which could have
helped them finance postsecondary educations at one of Florida’s 300-plus
colleges, universities and technical schools where the aid can be applied.”
A Financial Aid information session is going to be
held tonight at Lee (6:30). An expert on financial aid will be here to give a
presentation on FAFSA and the financial aid process. Even if a student isn't sure if they are going to college, they should still fill out the FAFSA - just in case.
