Marathon High Scholarship

We are excited to award five $1,000 college scholarships this spring to Marathon High graduates!

Qualifications include:
-- completion of the 2014-2015 Marathon High season
-- completion of the 2015 Donna Half-Marathon
-- demonstrated financial need
-- college ready
-- outstanding character, attitude, commitment, attendance and teamwork within Marathon High
-- student essay and coach statement

Want an EXTRA Graduation Ticket? - Complete the FAFSA!

Great news seniors and parents!

We’re giving one extra graduation ticket when you complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)!  You’ll get a PROCESSED SUCCESSFULLY e-mail after the FAFSA has been processed successfully and sent to the school(s) that you selected = print that e-mail and give it to your school counselor.  If they are not in their office, slide it under the door.  The FAFSA processed successfully e-mail will have your name and e-mail address on it but make sure to print your name on the e-mail a second time just in case.  Please note, you will get the PROCESSED SUCCESSFULLY e-mail after the confirmation e-mail.  If you can’t print the e-mail then you can forward, screenshot or show your counselor the e-mail on your phone.


Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov and remember to list any and all schools you think you may attend.

Free ACT prep

Information about ACT prep sessions from James Weldon Johnson ACT Center:

ACT prep session at James Weldon Johnson ACT Center #3054.  

·        Our class meets at James Weldon Johnson ACT Center #3054, 1840 West 9th Street, adjacent to the Edward Waters College Campus, in our school’s Media Center.
·        Class times are Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
·        Class dates are Tuesday, March 3rd through Thursday, April 16th, in advance of the April 18th ACT testing.
·        The class is free of charge.
·        To enroll, students just need to come to our school (first night of class on 3/3 is OK), fill out a quick registration form, and that’s it. 
·        We serve both students going to college and needing an ACT score, and, certainly, Certificate of Completion students.
