College Application Fee Waiver Information

How to get college application fee waivers:

Eligible students in the class of 2015 who tested during the 2013-14 academic year can access fee waivers from My SAT at the beginning of their senior year.

Seniors testing for the first time during 2014-15 will receive college application fee waivers from My SAT when they receive their SAT test scores online — typically 19 days after the test date.

Using college application fee waivers:

To have a college application fee waived, students must submit their fee waiver to the college they are applying to (NOT to the College Board).
Most colleges and universities define eligibility for a college application fee waiver as being eligible for or having received a fee waiver for a test such as the SAT or an SAT Subject Test, participating in the National School Lunch Program, or receiving public assistance.

Before using a fee waiver, students should check to see if the college will accept it. Colleges that cooperate with the SAT Fee-Waiver Service are not obligated to waive their application fees, and some may require additional information before considering or granting a college application fee waiver.
